Hi, I'm Sohan, an aerospace engineering student at UCLA with a deep curiosity about flight and space and how we can push its boundaries. I'm especially drawn to flight sciences and propulsion, where physics, design, and problem-solving come together to shape the future of aviation.
I'm currently the Vice Project Manager of UCLA’s Design Build Fly team, where I help lead the design, testing, and manufacturing of competition aircraft. I work across sub-teams to make sure our designs are optimized, our timelines stay on track, and our plane is ready to perform. Whether it's coordinating drag-reduction trade studies or supporting wind tunnel testing, I love being hands-on with every part of the process.
Over the last summer, I worked as an undergraduate researcher at the WindFluX Lab at UT Dallas, helping design and analyze an electromechanical wave-generating system used for boundary layer investigations with wind tunnel testing.
This quarter, I was the Lead Systems Engineer for my team in NASA's L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy, leading an interdisciplinary team of 8 engineers from throughout the United States through the NASA mission development cycle, up to the Preliminary Design Review. To learn more about this experience, feel free to contact me through email or LinkedIn, which can be found in the Contacts page.
